amelia is like a soccer player, i swear to god.

or football player, if you're foreign.

she's AMAZING. anything as small as a button or as large as a small pizza box gets pushed and kicked and chased around the apartment with the most enthusiasm of any feline playing ever on earth.

i am so glad she doesn't have access to mice or birds or whatnots, because she would play and play and play with them for hours before finishing them off, i can tell.

and she picks things up in her mouth to take to the other side of the room JUST TO KICK IT BACK TO THE SIDE OF THE ROOM WHERE SHE STARTED.

and sometimes she will put something in the middle of the room and then start "stalking" it from around the edges of the room, until WHAM! she attacks the SHIT out of it.

oh, it's so awesome to watch.

in other news, i did end up detail cleaning the kitchen and bathroom on thurs, but now the kitchen floor is dirty again. i don't understand. does anyone have any tips for me? also, i am using one of those self-ringing mops, are the other kind better?

also, i want to wipe down my floor with olive oil and lemon juice, to make it shine and smell awesome, do you have any suggestions on how to do this OTHER THAN getting on my hands and knees for an hr and doing it all by hand with a towel?

things just don't feel clean clean. they are definitely cleaner than before, but not clean clean.

that olive oil and lemon juice thing works like awesome on wood, though, i'm telling you. i did it on my nightstand and it looks better than it has in a year.

oh! also i hung out with jason for the first time in like 7 months, or if you count the time that we lived together but didn't see each other, about a year and 7 mos on thursday and i had a BLAST! we are going to hang out again on wednesday. yay!

maybe i can get him to come over and help me with hanging my paintings right. the ones above my bed are way too high (in anticipation of a shelf that i never ended up getting), and so i want to bring them lower and put them side by side, to give the illusion of a headboard.

see? i'm learning stuff from queer eye.

i need a plant, like a big one, and also maybe some window treatments.

i am finally moving into this place. i finally unpacked the boxes that were in my kitchen (oh, so THAT'S where my measuring cups were. next stop, cookie central!) and cleaned out a lot of the junk in my closet. next project is to get all my cds and books unpacked.
