2002-11-01 & 4:56 p.m. : if i crash, you know, sucks.

my right ear has let out the battle cry,

VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

and started itching like mad. i am scratching and scratching and scratching and i can feel the skin becoming smooth and shiny, injured.

and yet, it still itches.

this is like the cut underneath my tongue that i keep futzing with

and the general agitation i am feeling today.

man did i get drunk last night. it was fabulous. and the music was amazing. i finally, out of nowhere, grew into liking nick cave. i know i know, all the cool kids like nick cave, i was just vaguely terrified of him before.

but now, i like him a lot. true, i like johnny cash covering him more, but i like johnny cash covering most things better than the original.

and i fell asleep listening to riz on kexp.org, drunk and beautifully wobbly, wrapped up in warm goose down.

three hours later, i was awakened by loud loud african drumming from kexp.org, my eyes throbbing, and more thirsty than i have ever been in my whole entire life.

so i crawled across the floor, turned off the radio, turned on the cocteau twins, got a hugemongous glass of water, drank it, refilled it, drank it, refilled it, threw a handful of advil in my mouth, drank it, refilled and brought it back to bed with me.

as as the cocteau twins offered their usual "you're coming down" buffer to the world i fell asleep again and this time woke up with my alarm, refreshed and totally disoriented.

i probably should show some restraint on weeknights. i mean, i probably won't but i probably should.

i'm just really thankful for erik satie and mary margaret o'hara today.

oh, and i starting to really love the cold weather. i am just going to relax and, you know, whatever.

i mean, if i crash, sucks. but what can i do?
