2002-02-27 & 1:28 p.m. : life reviews(TM)

furthermore:

like a month or so ago, no probably more than that, i sent a review to my good friend t who has this online magazine in which he had been kind enough to print some of my writing junk.

this review was not of a book or a music or a movie; it was a review of a letter i had written to my friend rodney, who is in the army.

it was going to be the first in a series of reviews, life reviews(TM), that i was going to write.

the idea behind the life review (TM) was to take any random thing that i've experienced, assign a numerical rating to it (using the good ol' 1 through 10) and then give an exposition on such things as:

"letter written to rodney who is in the army (6.2)"

"saturday night/sunday morning 4am [with gin and cigarettes] (8.2)"

"morning commute, feb 27 '02 (3.4)"

"my sister (8.6)"

and WhatNot.

according to t's rules, they had to be at least 400 words long and he was demanding 3 before he would print the first. in the meantime he changed the format of his site, so i don't know if that first review will ever see the light of day. and for some reason (read: i am a lazy bastard), i didn't get him the three other reviews.

but i was just thinking about it and i think i will start writing life reviews (TM) in here. i think the idea of giving a numerical rating to anything is really funny.

i'll see if i can get the first one back, and if i do, i'll post it here.

otherwise, be on the look out for upcoming reviews.
