2003-09-26 & 4:19 p.m. : nervous fingers, shaking to keep the time

it's surreal to be admitted to the ER and then when you get placed in your bed have the person next to you be watching ER on tv.

it's surreal to be in so much pain that you literally don't care what is done to you, or by whom, or where, so long as it is supposed to help the pain.

it sucks to be totally alone through something like that, having no one to be able to call on for support, or a ride to the hospital, or help driving home after you've been shot up twice with dilaudid.

i am so thankful this didn't happen in iowa.

i hope it never happens again, but if it does, i seriously hope that i am back home when it does.
