i am so glad i found you. unfortunately this e-mail

is going to be sort of a tease i just got an offer to

teach near Shanghai for a few weeks during the summer

break and then i am off to Thailand to meet a cutie

from Taiwan who i met back at Berkeley when she was an

exchange student.

in brief, i am in beijing teaching at a private high

school. the students are far from the stereotypical

hard working obedient asians that i was expecting but

it has been rewarding nonetheless. the pay is good

and i am living rent and board free and really living

it up. i met a bunch of people on line before i came

here, so i have more than enough chinese friends. i

am dating a girl who is a VJ for Mtv china which is

pretty cool considering i get to watch her on t.v. and

shit.

the food is great. the weather is hot. the pollution

is terrible. the cars are many. road rules are all

but non- existent and there are fucking lot of chinese

people in China!

i am really glad we are in touch again. too bad we

didn't get to see more of each other in Berkeley. But

i love that our relationship is such that we needn't

be close to be close if you know what i mean. i love

you to death and want you to know, as corny as it

might sound, that i value or relationship and hold

such a tender spot in my heart for you!
