today was truly radical.

well, it actually started last night. last night, i spent hours doing creative collage-y things and it made me so so so so happy.

i used digipacks from some of the cds stolen during the Great CD Theft of Two Aught Three and made radical cd covers for the cds i have made to send to jon and niki.

true, vika asked "you spent all night on this?" when i told her the reason i got 3.5 hrs of sleep because i was up all night doing stuff, but stuff like that takes time. you have to find the right images, you have to measure and cut, rubber cement, tear things apart and start again because suddenly you are hit with a new idea, etc.

or, maybe i am just impossibly slow at it.

still, it felt really good to do, and i hope they like them.

then, i woke up at 10am because today i saw the lord of the rings.

you have to understand here, i never even get out of bed before noon for work, so this will tell you how pumped i was to see it. and i can't explain why. i mean, i never thought i would be into lotr, but i saw the first one and then crap, i was hooked.

and seeing one of them, finally, on a big screen was so good.

it was so good, doods. crap.

and then, after that vika and i went shopping because vika is going to cook me a hanukah dinner tomorrow. isn't that nice?

with matzo ball soup and noodle kugel and everything.

i am so excited.

and, because i didn't get fuck all for sleep last night, i bet i will be able to get to sleep before 2am. maybe even before midnight!

i am so pumped.

and then tomorrow i have more shopping to do, and also i have to send off my sister's birthday present and everything.

and i will clean my kitchen and get everything ready for dinner.

the only thing is, i don't have a menorah and i don't know where/how to get one. i'll consult the internet tomorrow morning and hopefully be able to find a modest (read: cheap) one so i can do the prayers and light the candles and everything.

this is the nicest holiday season i have had for a long time.

and even though this is the second new yrs in a row that i am going to spend alone, i am really happy.
