the dinner party was good fun, if only because my sister's boyfriend's friends are much more palatable than he is.

and pretty to look at.

the food was fantastic, the wine flowed and sweet sweet japanese beer as well.

now i want to have a dinner party, but all my friends are too far away to invite. i could invite her and her "the boy". and him too, except he's always working. but if she and her the boy came, and then my brother and mandy too, and maybe her new girlfriend, that could be good.

i'd like to cook asian, maybe try our hands at rolling sushi, or making some other hard to do but beautiful to look at food.

and regardless, we can always get kirin and tsing tao and lots and lots of sake. i have been meaning to get a real sake set anyway.

yeah, that might be fun, especially on my stove, which rocks this way and that.

um, not that you cook sushi on a stove of course, but were we to make something that needed a stove, like, say, tempura, my stove would do a great job, what with its rocking this way and that way and all around.

or something. ahem.

and we could watch a movie, too. we did that tonight, we watched final fantasy.

god it was amazing to look at.

god the story was horrible.

god they shouldn't have put alec baldwin's voice with a likeness of ben affleck.

and GOD they really shouldn't have put steve buscemi's voice with a likeness of jason priestly.

but it really was amazing to look at, even though it was stupid to follow.

i miss lauren. and jamie.

oh, and here is where i have been spending my spare time since last night...just so you know about where i'm at.

that's right. considering freaky piercings and really really getting into the idea of finally doing that tattoo.
